Live at the Palladium is the second live album by the American popular music duo Carpenters. It was recorded during a week of live concerts at the London Palladium in November 1976. No singles were released from the album, although it reached number 28 on the UK Albums Chart. On the cover of the record, Karen is wearing the same dress as in The Carpenters' Very First Television Special. The album was remastered and reissued in the 1980s on the budget Pickwick music label and went Gold in the UK. Live at the Palladium. The Sayonara 1984. Close to You: Remembering The Carpenters 1998. Only Yesterday: The Carpenters Story 2007. Live At The Palladium is a popart songfolk music live album recording by THE CARPENTERS released in 1976 on CD, LPVinyl andor cassette. Live At The Palladium by the Carpenters, which was only released in the UK and Japan, made its British chart debut on 8 January 1977. Theres never been an official live album by the duo issued in the US. Live At The Palladium contained a 15-minute medley of their hits, in a show featuring their A-list band including guitarist Tony Peluso, who was on hand to reprise his famous solo on Goodbye To Love. In 2012, journalist Ian Tasker, who was at one of the shows, reminisced about it in The Guardian newspaper. What they served up was about as close to perfection as pop music can get, he wrote. Live at the Palladium is the 2nd internationally released live album by American music duo Carpenters. This album was not released in the U. but was widely available as an import. The other live album is the 2-disk Live in Japan 1974 A&M release. This is a delightful album and makes me wish I had seen the Carpenters perform live They sing various long medleys of the songs from their career, with narration between by both Karen and Richard. The set sums up their careers in an entertaining fashion. 1976 A&M Records, Inc. Manufactured by Pony Canyon Inc.
